Racing feeling in virtual driving simulators
From 8. January, Mon. to Fri. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sat., Sun. and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Audi Expert Center; free admission

Fast-past driving pleasure with legendary Audi vehicles: In the Audi Forum Ingolstadt, visitors can from the 8th January like racing drivers feel. The new Audi Expert Center offers three driving simulators in which adults and children from the age of six can drive against time or real opponents. On virtual racetracks such as the Lausitzring or the Hockenheimring, legendary Audi vehicles can be used to race – for example with the classic Audi 90 quattro, the touring car Audi RS 3 LMS or the car Audi R18. The free tickets are available at the central reception in the customer center.

Live at the “wedding”: Fascination production intensive
Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at 2.15 p.m. at the reception for factory tours; booking and ticket prices online

Close up with the creation process of an Audi: Participants experience, among other things, how more than 1,000 robots put together a high-precision Audi body in perfect interaction during the experience guide. On the approximately two-kilometer-long path, visitors also get insights into the pressing plant as well as information about the painting process and the application processes. In the end, they are there live when the body and drive train are assembled at the so-called “wedding”.

The “New Plant”: Lecture on the history of the Auto Union plant

At the end of the 1950s, the four-ring plant of Auto Union GmbH is being built on Ettinger Straße on the outskirts of Ingolstadt – literally on the green meadow. Previously, a new building in the Zons on the Rhine was favored for a long time. How did it come about that the Ingolstadt location finally won the race? In his lecture “The ‘New Work’ – the history of the Auto-Union plant on Ettinger Straße” historian Ralf Friese tells how it all began.

Dutch Swing College Band opens jazz year in the Audi Forum Ingolstadt
11. January at 8 p.m. in the Audi museum mobile; booking and prices online

Dynamic and joy of playing, paired with the highest precision and smart arrangements: The “swinging Dutch” open the jazz year at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt as in 2023. In the band’s almost 79-year history, every musician enjoys the reputation of a top-class soloist. Founded in 1945, the Dutch Swing College Band has already won countless prizes. To this day, the constantly rejuvenating jazz combo acts with great success on all continents.

18. January – Joe Bawelino & Gige Brunner: Joe Bawelino has been playing in the Romeo Franz Ensemble for many years and enjoys international fame. The Franconian fingerstyle guitarist Gige Brunner has a large repertoire of swingingly arranged standards.
25. January – Ellington Now: Michael Hornstein (Altsax) and Oliver Hahn (Piano) form the duo “Ellington Now”. The music of Duke Ellington forms the starting material for the improvisations of two musicians who can rely on each other unconditionally.

In its seasonal four-course menu, the fine dining restaurant AVUS serves beetroot tartare with avocado and horseradish as an appetizer. After a parsnip and carrot soup with ginger and turmeric, roast beef with apple, red cabbage and potato dumplings follows in the main course. For dessert, there is lemon mousse with meringe and orange-grapefruit ragout. The culinary experience is for two people at a total price of 89 euros.
