$435,000!  You read that correctly. Concours in the Hills Car Show in 2022 once again donated 100% of its proceeds – this year was $435,000 – to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Congratulations to Peter Volny and his remarkable team of volunteers for creating a venue that is so enticing, so much fun that they had to close registration at 1,000 vehicles with more people still wanting to display their cars.

Each year one of the largest car shows in the country gathers on the grass around the 500-foot fountain in the middle of the lake in Fountain Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Attendees get to see automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, Audis, helicopters, exotics, race cars, many of which are likely being seen for the first time.

A display by Audi Club Arizona is also a part of the show. The Audi Club Arizona tent complete with branded flags and tablecloths served as headquarters for Audi enthusiasts.  Audi Club Arizona gave away free t-shirts, decals, quattro Magazine, and Audi Club Arizona stickers.  The group also raffled off a baby R8 (for a $5 donation to PHX Children’s Hospital!) and gave away a one-year Audi Club membership by drawing a name from those who registered their email address with us. Good will was flowing as our board members staffed the tent to offer club members and some of the 40,000 attendees Audi knowledge and some welcome shade from the Arizona February sun.

Unfortunately, only about half of Audi Club Arizona members signed up before display registration was cut off at 1,000: a hard lesson that will be remembered next year. With that ‘register early’ lesson embedded in us, we expect the highest Audi turnout that we have ever had next year. 

Audi Club Arizona had such a great time being part of this; we can hardly wait until next year.  And Phoenix Children’s Hospital receives $435,000!
