The model is available in the manufacturer’s dealership network in the country, with an extended warranty of three years and suggested price of R$ 1,364,990.00.
“The Audi RS 6 Avant Legacy is the result of a partnership with the Audi Sport team in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Audi in Brazil. In this sense, we achieved what seemed impossible: to make one of the most iconic and legendary models in our history even more exclusive,” says Renato Celiberti, Head of Sales at Audi do Brasil.
The new RS 6 Avant Legacy is an exclusive version created for the Brazilian market to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Audi do Brasil, and based on the RS 6 Avant Performance model, which also lands this year in Brazil. Both versions share the same mechanical characteristics and performance numbers. The differentials of the Legacy version in relation to Performance are in the finish, which delivers exclusive customization.
Externally, there is a matte carbon exterior package (exclusive item of RS6 Legacy), 22-inch wheels in bronze color, forged, with black brake calipers and Continental Sport Contact 7 tires. The model also receives the Audi Exclusive Ascari Blue matte paint (exclusive color of RS6 Legacy in Brazil). In addition, there is a personalized recording with individual numbering from 1ª to 15ª unit located on the rear window.
Internally, the cabin lavers exclusivity with the Audi Exclusive interior, which offers seats and sides of the doors in black and gray, as well as unprecedented finishing items that are not part of the Audi Exclusive global catalog, such as the contrasting seams on the steering wheel and the top of the panel in bronze. The model also has a gray seat belt, bronze embroidered RS logo and RS custom carpets with contrasting bronze seams. In addition, there is customization of the rear window has the “Audi 30 years” logo engraved by laser on the rear window that identifies the special series.
Unique and unprecedented performance
The established 4.0-liter TFSI V8 biturbo thruster has been cut to offer an even more thought-provoking performance. For this, it received larger turbo-compressors, increased maximum pressure – which rose to 2.6 bar, against 2.4 bar of the previous one – and a fine adjustment of engine control and transmission software for even faster responses of the mechanical assembly.
The power rose from 600 to 630 hp, between 6,000 and 6,250 rpm, and the torque from 800 to 850 Nm, from 2,050 to 4,500 rpm. This power of the thruster flows through the eight-speed tiptronic transmission to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, which allows the driver to safely overcome rugged terrain and choose between four driving modes by the Audi drive select – Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Individual.
This set allows the supersport to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.4 seconds – 0.2s faster than the previous model. The 0 to 200 km/h is done in 11.7 seconds. The maximum speed is 280 km/h. In addition, there is a new exhaust system to intensify the sound experience.
Configured as a planetary gear, the central differential distributes the driving force in a ratio of 40:60 to the front and rear axles. If necessary, more torque is automatically directed to the shaft with better traction. Up to 70% can flow to the front wheels and up to 85% to the rear wheels.
Finally, the electrical assistance technology, consisting of a lithium-ion battery and a belt alternator (BAS) in a 48-volt primary electrical system, combines performance, efficiency and reduction in the level of pollutant emission. Through it, the model can move at speeds between 55 and 160 km/h with the engine turned off and then the BAS restarts the thruster quickly and comfortably. During the deceleration, the BAS can recover up to 12 kW of energy. The start-stop system starts working at 22 km/h.
The model also offers dynamic rear axle technology, which makes it possible to rotate the rear wheels up to five degrees. At low speed, they turned in the opposite direction to the front wheels, reducing the turning diameter. At high speed, they turn in the same direction as the front axle, reinforcing stability during lane changes.
Iconicous and timeless design
Externally, the RS 6 Avant performance boasts the iconic – and increasingly exclusive – Avant body, which demonstrates in its aggressive lines and prominent creases the sporty vocation of the model. At the front, the wide air intakes and the standard Full LED Matrix headlights, with dynamic steering light and Audi Laser Light, separate the hexagonal singleframe grille into a hive structure.
Side skirts frame the southern portion of the bolide, creating a silhouette that instigates the eyes and accelerates the heart. At the rear, the LED flashlights that invade the trunk lid and the two oval exhaust outlets harmoniously complete the look.
In total, there was a reduction of eight kilos in the weight of the vehicle, considering the new wheels, in addition to a remarkable improvement in sound insulation.
Internally, the model offers high doses of refinement, comfort, sportiness and sophistication. The digital environment embraces the driver with touch screens integrated into the instrument panel and center console. The 10.1-inch top screen offers the MMI system with numerous information and options for customization of the vehicle, sound and entertainment system, and interface with smartphones through Android and iOS systems.
The 8.6-inch lower display, in turn, is carved on the center console and allows access to air conditioning, comfort and text input controls. A confirmation click is felt and heard when a function is selected by touch.
In front of the driver appears the Audi Virtual Cockpit with RS layout and new colored bars. The panel displays numerous data about the vehicle, from tire temperature and pressure, torque, power and engine oil temperature, to laps times, acceleration measurements and “G” forces. In manual mode, an indicator light signals to the driver the ideal time to change gears. The head-up display allows the driver to view the main information without diverting his eyes from the path.
In addition, the model also has quattro sports differential, dynamic rear axle, adaptive and sports air suspension, red brake calipers, panoramic sunroof and Full LED Matrix HD headlights with dynamic steering light and 360º camera.
Finally, a family car
The sporting performance coexists with the familiar fitness of the vehicle, which is revealed in the excellent space for the occupant and the generous trunk – there are 565 liters of capacity, size enough for the bags during trips. Regarding the dimensions, the model is 4,995 mm long, 2,110 mm wide, 1,487 mm high and 2,930 mm in inter-axis distance. The capacity of the fuel tank is 73 liters.
Audi from Brazil
Audi celebrates 30 years in Brazil in 2024, a trajectory full of challenges, overcoming and achievements. The first appearance in the country took place in 1992, at the São Paulo Motor Show, with the Audi 100 sedan. The following year, the eternal idol Ayrton Senna became the official representative of the brand on national soil, with Senna Import. In 1994, the automaker’s coveted vehicles began to be officially marketed here and soon won the streets of the country, with unprecedented technologies and unprecedented driving dynamics.
Audi do Brasil is also one of the pioneers to encourage electromobility and has already invested almost R$ 90 million in the infrastructure of electric chargers throughout the country, in addition to offering charging infrastructure in more than 40 dealerships in the national territory. Currently, Audi has consolidated itself as one of the most desired brands in Brazil, being present with its administrative headquarters in São Paulo (SP), logistics terminal in Vinhedo (SP) and the vehicle factory in São José dos Pinhais, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba (PR), where the Audi Q3 and Audi Q3 Sportback models are produced.
